Transferring a Call

There are two ways to transfer a call, blind transfers and attended transfers.

Blind Transfer

A blind transfer is when you transfer a call to another person without speaking to that person first. When the person picks up the call, they will automatically be speaking with the transferred call.

NimbusPhone Mobile App

Perform the following steps while you’re on the call:

  1. Press the Transfer button.
  2. Dial the number or extension number of the person you’re transferring the call to.
  3. Press the green phone icon to initiate the transfer.
  4. The call will be immediately transferred.

Web Phone

Perform the following steps while you’re on the call:

  1. Click the Transfer button. (left and right arrows)
  2. Dial the number or extension number of the person you’re transferring the call to.
  3. Click the blue arrow icon to initiate the transfer.
  4. The call will be immediately transferred.

Desk Phone

Perform the following steps while you’re on the call:

  1. Press the Transfer button.
  2. Dial the number or extension number of the person you’re transferring the call to.
  3. Press the Transfer button again.
  4. The call will be immediately transferred.

Attended Transfer

An attended transfer is when you transfer a call to another person, but you get to speak to that person person first. When the person picks up the call, they will be speaking with you, so you can give them details about who is on the line before the call is transferred.

Perform the following steps while you’re on the call:

  1. Press the Att. Transfer button.
  2. Dial the number or extension number of the person you’re transferring the call to.
  3. Press the green phone icon to initiate the call.
  4. When the person answers, tell them any details about the call.
  5. Press the blue Transfer button.
  6. The call will be transferred.

Desk Phone

Perform the following steps while you’re on the call:

  1. Press the Transfer button.
  2. Dial the number or extension number of the person you’re transferring the call to.
  3. Press the Send or OK button.
  4. When the person answers, tell them any details about the call.
  5. Press the Transfer button.
  6. The call will be transferred.
