Contacts Integration

Boomea integrates with the following providers:

  • G-Suite (Google)
  • Office365

These integrations include avatar images and contact sync between Boomea and your integration point.

You may also choose not to integrate at all. In that situation, we provide users the ability to upload a CSV file with their contacts and they may manage that list within the Boomea interface.

How to Open Boomea Contacts

1. Click on the Boomea Contacts icon on the right side of the desktop application.

The Boomea Contacts sidebar will open.

Integrating Contacts

For this example, we will integrate Boomea with Google contacts.

  1. Click on the “Add Contacts” button.
  2. Click on the Account Type you wish to integrate with Boomea.
  3. Log in to your account.
  4. Allow Boomea to permission to access and edit your contacts.
  5. Your contacts will appear in the Boomea Contacts sidebar.

Contact Management

Boomea Contacts allows you to view and manage your contacts by syncing your contacts with your integration point. The integration includes avatar syncing too. Contact integration syncs both ways. So, any updates made to contacts in Boomea will be pushed up to your integration point, and any changes made to the contacts in your integration point will be pushed down to Boomea.

Contact Actions

Click to Call

If you have a phone number associated with a contact, you can click the phone icon () to initiate a quick call to that phone number.

If the contact has more than one telephone number associated to them, the contact information is expanded downwards to show you all their numbers, so you to click on the specific phone number to call.

Click to Email

If you have an email address associated with a contact, you can click the envelope icon () to start a new email message to that contact.

If the contact has more than one email address associated to them, the contact information is expanded downwards to show you all their email addresses, so you can click on a specific email. The Boomea application will then automatically open your computer’s default email client and pre-populate the ‘To’ field with the contact’s email address.

Outside Messaging

With contacts integration, Boomea allows you to chat directly with your contacts who also have the Boomea UC client!

When a contact, outside your account, initiates a chat with you, a chat access rule is presented as a question for you to answer regarding whether you want to accept their request to chat, ignore the request for a set period of time, or block the user. This chat access rule is per-person and can be changed at any time in your Boomea account settings.

When communicating with a contact in another Boomea account as an outside message, you may also define whether you wish to share your chat presence with that contact.

Communication History

Boomea conveniently keeps a history for each contact you communicate with.

The following history is kept:

  • Phone Calls
  • Voicemails
  • Call Recordings
  • Boomea Meetings
  • Chat Conversations
